Happy Fourth of July weekend everyone! This time, of year, is always special for us as we were married the day after the fourth (July 5th), so each year we celebrate with fireworks either at home or away. For Today's post, I want to look back on our trips that have been patriotic in nature. Let's begin with last year.

Florida Keys - Fourth of July Weekend

Last summer Kyle and I went to the Florida Keys. We flew into Miami and rented a car and set off on our adventure down to Key West. If you have not been to the Florida Keys it is as you would imagine. Palm trees, blue skies, beautiful water, and awesome people. As one of the locals lovingly called the area "Key Weird". You see, Key West truly embraces anyone, no matter how weird. On our trek down to  Key West, we spent a day in Key Largo where we found a quiet little area to watch Fireworks over the ocean. Granted, it was a hotel property and was reserved only for their guests, but we arrived early enough and found a quiet area away from the hotel with a great view.

Lastly if you ever arrive at Ronald Reagan National Airport in the evening, prepare yourself for a beautiful view of our flag.
